Die Untersuchung luftgetragener Schadstoffe mit allen zur Verfügung stehenden Methoden im Bereich der in vitro, ex-vivo, in vivo und human Untersuchungen bildet seit Gründung des Institutes im Jahr 1981 den Mittelpunkt der Tätigkeiten des Fraunhofer ITEM.
